WHY SHOULD YOU START RE|ENGAGE AT YOUR CHURCH?

1. Prevents staff burnout and fatigue

Re|engage prevents staff burnout and fatigue by creating a clear path for counseling couples. Re|engage was partly designed to help share the marriage counseling burden felt by our church staff. Volunteers can be positioned for success to take on this responsibility (2 Peter 1:3).

2. Creates service opportunities

The need for discipleship in Re|engage creates service opportunities for the local body of Christ. Re|engage drives a need for leader couples who in turn love other couples at a time when they are hurting (1 John 3:18). Additionally, leader couples often experience improvement in their own marriage as a result of serving.

3. Opens a side door into a relationship with Christ

Re|engage becomes a side door into a relationship with Christ. The pain of marital discord can drive couples who would never walk through the front door of your church to Re|engage, where they will hear the good news of Jesus Christ (Matthew 11:28).

4. Opportunity to make disciples

The structure and format provide a great opportunity to make disciples. The Re|engage curriculum is the gospel applied to marriage (Ephesians 5:25). Participants in Re|engage are often confronted with a loving God they have never met and ultimately embrace His free gift.

5. Builds synergy with your Children and Student ministries

Healthy families require healthy marriages. Offering Re|engage synergistically benefits your Children's and Student ministries. As kids see their parents model the relationship that God intended, families are strengthened and united (Proverbs 14:26).

6. Injects authenticity into your church

Open and honest discussion injects authenticity into your church. The transparency learned in Re|engage Closed Groups can be infectious. Many couples who complete Re|engage love the freedom of being fully known by others (Proverbs 28:13) and are no longer content to "put on a face” at church.
